Robert Ziegler – President and CEO
Robert is President of Corduro charged with establishing the company as the leading global payment solution provider in the market. He previously served as General Manager and CTO at ATM Direct which was acquired by Pay By Touch.
While at ATM, Robert invented Internet pin debit as a form of payment. This is now an accepted form of payment by Mastercard issuers worldwide and a majority of debit networks including Pulse, Accel and Shazam. Pay By Touch enabled consumers to link their financial accounts, personal identification information and membership/loyalty accounts with the touch of a finger on a scanner device. Robert’s team developed payment processing solutions for ACH, eChecks, card-present and card-not-present debit and credit transactions.
Mike Tobias – EVP, Sales and Marketing
Mike has overall responsibility for driving Corduro’s marketing strategy and building the PayMobile network. Mike started his first company, Tech-Source, at age 23. Tech-Source became the number one supplier in the world for Air Traffic Control display systems. Mike and his partners developed a technology that was twice the resolution of HDTV back in 1989. Following that, Mike went on to start his second company, SandStream. It was there that Mike co-developed and was awarded a patent for delivering television over the internet – imagine watching ESPN or HBO on YouTube. SandStream filed that patent in 2000 – 5 years before YouTube was founded. SandStream secured strategic investments totaling $65 million from Cisco, Nortel and Texas Instruments and sold off their intellectual property to Cisco following 9/11. Mike used his experiences and launched CGO Partners – the Center for Growing Organizations – where he coaches and mentors entrepreneurs helping them grow lasting value in their business. It’s there that Mike and Robert Ziegler met and they have been working together to build Corduro ever since.
