The Corduro Story

Mobile Payment Empowerment

Corduro thinks differently than all the big players. (And we all know you don’t have to be big to think big.)  We bring the worlds of payments and relationships together. Here’s how…

There are three groups we intersect … non-profits (college alumni, booster clubs, sports clubs, charities, etc.) + philanthropic retailers (think home depot + habitat for humanity) + community banks (building local community through social responsibility).

Corduro has a mobile strategy, a mobile app and an online platform that allows these three groups to work together in a friction free way that encourages social responsibility. We call this platform the PayMobile community. Friction free means we eliminate all the friction associated with online and mobile transactions. Friction free means that we streamline the “keep the change” and “donate a dollar” programs that philanthropic retailers implore. Friction free means that we automate all the payment processing so that the right funds are going to the right place (corporation vs npo) at the least cost. Friction free means that the philanthropic corporation and the npo have a way to empower and measure their community involvement.

The PayMobile app is community involvement app. The age group that will use PayMobile is tech-savvy and likely under 50. The NPOs, banks, and philonthropic retailers all want to attract this age group. The younger market wants to make a difference and love doing business with socially responsible corporations.

Corduro has launched MobilizeYourArmy.com to build it’s PayMobile community. There are over 1.6 million non-profits in the U.S. alone with 60,000 more starting up every year. We’re going to let all of them sign up with PayMobile for free. Then, through MobilizeYourArmy.com and our mobile app, we’ll give each one of those organizations a way to truly mobilize their often-vast volunteer armies. Turning their people from evangelists into actual donation centers.
